Thanks to a successful funding bid to Igniting Ambition, Lakeside has just become involved in its most ambitious international collaboration to date.
Led by Terrapin Puppet Theatre (Tasmania) and The Children’s Art Theatre of Shanghai in association with Reckless Moments (and now Lakeside too), this fabulous new work for children and families will be a unique visual theatre production, scripted by the renowned playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer, and being created in China and Tasmania. The production will open in Shanghai in June 2010 and will come to Lakeside in 2011.
Lakeside’s involvement is through the Nottingham-based composer Matt Marks, who is out in Shanghai right now, meeting the other collaborators and beginning the creative process.
