An adventurous and ambitious exploration of the interaction between sound and image, spoken text and music. The programme features supernatural motifs in multi-media genres such as early silent film and music theatre, with examples of the latter by the leading contemporary practitioners Mauricio Kagel, Gerald Barry and Heiner Goebbels. On the Edge is a boldly innovative, cross-genre project, set in the Swiss Jungfrau region, by award-winning creators Edward Rushton and Dagny Gioulami, bringing together elements of music, theatre and video.
