Melanie Tomlinson’s printed tin tableaux are inspired by human life and her passion for nature. She illustrates her work using very fine brushes and gouache and hand prints these images onto metal sheets The scenes she creates sometimes have roots within other cultures and may appear deliberately mysterious or strange. Running through her work like threads, are themes from folklore, which transcend time and culture and are still relevant to our own experiences.
