About the artist: Massey and Rogers
Massey and Rogers inspiration comes from a love of colour, form and line. In their work, they blend these elements into unique and fresh combinations. They use the natural and the urban landscape to inspire their designs and both the modern and the old inform their work.
Recycling is imaginatively integrated into their contemporary design practice by weaving with discarded materials such as, old comics, magazines, outdated maps or calendars, and plastic carrier bags. As people are becoming increasingly aware of the need to consider the environmental impact of their activities and choices, they feel that this aspect of their work is of major significance to much of their audience.
They currently produce a range of items for sale and for exhibition. Their work is all individually made as unique pieces, limited editions or as small batch production.
